On 6 November 2017, Albany County Sheriff’s deputies discovered a weapons cache that contained firearms and IED manufacturing materials at the residence of a reportedly disturbed individual. The cache included an undisclosed amount of grenades, grenade launchers, trip wires and additional IED materials. Deputies apprehended the male suspect at a local motel where he was in possession of an additional AR-15 rifle and 50 rounds of ammunition. The suspect was arrested and charged with several weapons and explosives-related charges.
