Pakistan: Four Frontier Corpsman Wounded in IED Attack

On 28 September 2017, four Pakistani Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were injured after their vehicle was struck by two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the Shorki area. The area is close to the Afghanistan border in the Lower Kurram tribal agency of Pakistan. Political officials stated that the corpsmen were on a routine patrol when they struck the devices, which were allegedly planted by unidentified extremists. The Political Administration arrested several suspects in the area under the collective territorial responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR).
