Pakistan: School Bus Targeted in IED Attack

On 26 September 2017, a Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) bus carrying   35-40 schoolchildren and some PMDC employees was targeted by a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (RCIED) in the Hanna Urak Valley, Balochistan Province. No one was killed and only one person was injured in the attack. The driver sustained minor injuries from shattered glass. Pakistani Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel responded and searched the area, arresting five suspects. No one claimed responsibility for the attack.
