Ohio: Man Purchasing Home Discovers Hoax Devices

On 25 September 2017 at approximately 1830 hours local time, the Allen County Bomb Squad responded to a report of suspicious devices hanging from trees at a home for sale. The potential buyer of the property discovered a grenade, three shotgun shells and miscellaneous wires taped to trees. Bomb Squad technicians determined that the items did not contain explosives and searched property for additional devices or suspicious objects, with no further findings. Allen County Sherriff’s Office (ACSO) deputies were informed that the owner of the property was ex-military and “was a very paranoid type of person.” According to officers, no laws were broken.
