On 15 May 2019 at approximately 1830 hours local time, two juvenile males were injured when an unspecified explosive device detonated inside a Craig Beach residence. One juvenile lost his hand and the other’s stomach was injured by shrapnel. The Craig Beach Police, ATF, and Youngstown Bomb Squad responded. There is no further information on the device type or explosives used, and the investigation is ongoing.
