On 21 May 2019, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office deputies, members of its Drug Task Force, and officers from the Collinsville Police Department discovered unspecified explosive material while searching a private residence. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was called to the scene and removed the material for further examination. No injuries or damage were reported. There is no additional information on the explosive material, and the investigation is ongoing.
