On 26 May 2019, Licking Police Department officers found an IED in the vehicle of a 41-year-old male during a traffic stop. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Explosives Disposal Unit rendered safe the IED, which was described as a pipe bomb. Authorities arrested the suspect.
