On 1 June 2019, a 31-year-old male was arrested after a traffic stop and search of his vehicle found an IED, methamphetamines, and firearms. During the search, Parkersburg Police Department officers discovered a hand grenade with the original fuze still intact, but the core removed and replaced with gun powder, metal beads, and metal wire. There is no further information on the incident.
