On 31 October 2019 at approximately 2000 hours local time, a 12-year-old female sustained injuries after a gang of juvenile suspects lobbed a pyrotechnic device into a Coventry pizza chain restaurant. A video posted to social media showed the suspect lighting the pyrotechnic fuse at the urging of an accomplice and another accomplice saying “Oh my god, he’s throwing it in there” as customers ran for cover. West Midlands Police officers are investigating the incident.
