Montana: ATM Damaged by Explosion

On 7 November 2019 at approximately 1045 hours local time, the Missoula Police Department, Missoula Fire Department, and a local private paramedic service responded to reports of an explosion at an ATM. According to witnesses, a man poured gasoline on the ATM and threw an object at it, reported to possibly be a match, causing an explosion. The ATM sustained significant damage, but the suspect was unable remove to cash from the machine and fled the scene in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. Police later arrested a 57-year-old male suspect, who has been charged with arson, possession of a destructive device, and criminal mischief.
