On 29 November 2019 just before 1400 hours local time, a male perpetrator conducted a stabbing attack on London Bridge, killing two bystanders and injuring three others. Officers from the City of London Police responded to the incident and shot and killed the attacker. Authorities found a person-borne IED (PBIED) on the suspect, which was later determined to be a hoax device.
