United Kingdom: IED Attack on Private Residence Threatens Family

On 13 January 2020 at approximately 0230 hours local time, an unknown suspect threw an explosive device at a private residence in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland. A woman and multiple children were in the home at the time, but no one was injured. The Police Service of Northern Ireland identified the device as a viable pipe bomb. The investigation is ongoing.
