Netherlands: Explosives Used in Jewelry Store Robbery Attempt

On 11 February 2020 at approximately 0400 hours local time, two suspects attempted to break into a luxury jewelry store in Amsterdam by detonating two explosive charges. The suspects placed one of the explosive charges on the store window and another underneath it. The charges functioned but did not breach the protective roller shutter behind the window. The suspects were unable to enter the building and fled the scene. Authorities are searching for the suspects, and the investigation is ongoing.
