On 19 March 2020 at approximately 1830 hours local time, an IED functioned in northern Takhar province, killing two civilians and six Taliban fighters. Twenty-two others were injured, including 10 civilians. Taliban fighters transported and emplaced the device on a main road in Chinzayee, outside of the provincial capital Taluqan. No device details were provided.
