On 29 April 2020 at approximately 0230 hours local time, deputies from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office conducting a routine traffic stop in Marlow noticed an item in the back of the vehicle that resembled a pipe bomb. State bomb squad technicians responded to the scene and confirmed there was a substance inside the device and removed it from the area for further examination. The 46-year-old male driver was arrested and has been charged with possession of a destructive device.
