TRIPwire, 20 May 2020

On 16 May 2020 at approximately 1730 hours local time, local police responded to a report of an IED utilizing a trip wire found on a local hiking trail in Gippsland, Victoria. Technicians from the Victoria Police Bomb Response Unit removed and rendered safe the device, then sent the components to the Arson and Explosives Unit for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
