Pennsylvania: IED Emplaced at Commercial Store after Robbery

On 20 May 2020 at approximately 1815 hours local time, troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Blooming Grove Barracks responded to reports of a robbery at a local store where the suspected robber left behind an IED. The robber stole six firearms and assorted ammunition. The owner of the store responded to the security alarm and confronted the robber, who threatened the owner with a firearm. The robber left behind an IED at the scene made of shotgun shells and ball bearings strapped to a butane canister with a black powder fuse. The male suspect is still at large, and police are investigating.
