Louisiana: IID Thrown at Courthouse

On 26 August 2020, an unidentified suspect threw an improvised incendiary device (IID), described as a Molotov cocktail, at the entry door of a courthouse in Shreveport. Courthouse security discovered the device, which consisted of a glass bottle, rag, and flammable liquid, in the morning. According to a spokeswoman from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, the device was lit but did not ignite a fire. No injuries or property damage were reported. Investigators from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, Shreveport Fire Department, and ATF Field Division are investigating the incident.
