California: IEDs, BMM Found in Auto Repair Shop

On 15 January 2021, Napa County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) deputies searched a 44-year-old Napa man’s home and business after receiving a tip the suspect was stockpiling weapons, ammunition, and explosives. In the suspect’s auto repair shop, NCSO deputies found 5 IEDs, several pounds of bomb-making material (BMM), 50 weapons, and 15,000 rounds of ammunition. NCSO Bomb Squad technicians and FBI agents responded to assist. Bomb technicians examined the devices and BMM, described as pipe bombs and gunpowder, and rendered them safe. The suspect was arrested and booked on five felony charges and one misdemeanor. The investigation is ongoing.
