On 19 April 2021, a Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officer discovered a suspicious object, emplaced at the rear of her car, in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The Army Bomb Squad responded to assist. Bomb squad technicians examined the explosive device before rendering it safe. No casualties were reported. Authorities believe an Irish extremist group is responsible. The investigation is ongoing.
