On 9 June 2021, at approximately 0803 hours local time, the Conway Fire Department (CFD) Bomb Squad responded after a utility company discovered a hand grenade while digging in a local residential area. The Conway Police Department, the FBI, and U.S. Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal technicians responded to the scene to assist and removed the device. The investigation is ongoing.
