On 11 January 2022, at approximately 2000 hours local time, the Tulsa Police Department (TPD) Bomb Squad and ATF agents responded to a local hotel after a security guard discovered an IED concealed in a bag under stairs outside the hotel and moved it to a secure area. A photo released of the IED without the bag depicts a cylindrical device wrapped in black electrical tape with a green fuse coming from one end. No further device details have been released. The ATF and TPD Bomb Squad disposed of the device. Authorities reviewed hotel surveillance video footage and identified the suspect, who was later located and arrested in the hotel’s casino.
