Indiana: Pipe Bomb and BMM Found in Residence

On 3 August 2022, at approximately 1739 hours local time, the St. Joseph County Police Department (SJCPD) and the Indiana State Police (ISP) conducted a search of a home in St. Joseph County and discovered a pipe bomb and undisclosed bomb-making materials (BMM) in the residence. The ISP Explosive Ordnance Team responded to the scene and rendered the device safe. Photos from the scene appear to show that the device was made of black plastic PVC piping with two end caps, but no further device details have been released. Two men were arrested at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
