On 19 September 2022, local authorities responded to a meat distribution company in Quilicura after six unknown suspects threw improvised incendiary devices (IIDs), described as Molotov cocktails, at company trucks and at the building. The suspects also assaulted and threatened a patrol officer with firearms and IIDs, but no injuries were reported. At least six company trucks and a refrigerator were set ablaze and damaged. The attackers left written threats to the owners of the company and pamphlets advocating animal rights throughout the facility. The investigation is ongoing.
