On 21 September 2022, at approximately 1026 hours local time, local police responded to the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (UAEM) Chamilpa Campus after two IEDs functioned inside restrooms stalls and two additional IEDs were discovered on campus grounds. An EOD team responded to assist and examined the IEDs, described as containing muriatic acid with aluminum, before removing them from the scene. No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
