Virginia: Suspected Ordnance Discovered by Construction Crew

On 27 September 2022, at approximately 0920 hours local time, Hampton Fire and Rescue crews responded to Buckroe Avenue after a construction crew discovered a suspected ordnance, while working on natural gas lines in the area. No further details about the ordnance have been released. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team from Joint Base Langley-Eustis responded to assist and removed the item for disposal.
