Oregon: 3 IEDs Discovered on Road

On 19 October 2022, Sweet Home Police Department officers responded to 37th Avenue for a report of a suspicious object. At the scene, officers found three tennis balls wrapped in black tape, containing a “low grade explosive.” The Oregon State Police Explosives Unit responded to assist and conducted a controlled detonation onsite on one IED that had not functioned. There were no reported injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
