Thailand: VBIED Functioned Inside Police Compound, 1 Killed

TRIPwire, 22 November 2022 On 22 November 2022, a vehicle-borne IED (VBIED) was functioned inside a police compound in Narathiwat Province, killing one police officer and injuring at least 29 others, including civilians. According to officials, an unidentified suspect dressed as a police officer parked the VBIED inside the compound prior to the explosion. No further device details have been released. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the investigation is ongoing.
