Oklahoma: Explosive Device Detonated in Mailbox

TRIPwire, 19 January 2023 On 14 January 2023, at approximately 0000 hours local time, Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on South Henney Road and Southeast 29th Street after unknown suspects detonated an explosive device inside the mailbox. No further device details have been released, but surveillance footage shows a suspect placing the explosives inside the mailbox, followed by two explosions. Oklahoma County Bomb Squad technicians responded to assist. No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
