Netherlands: Explosive Device Functioned Outside Residence

TRIPwire, 8 February 2023 On 8 February 2023, at approximately 0500 hours local time, local police responded to a residence on Riederlaan in Rotterdam-Feijenoord after an explosive device functioned outside the home, causing extensive damage to the facade and the surrounding buildings. No injuries were reported. According to media reporting, a long white rope, believed to be a fuse for the explosive, was discovered at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
