Texas: IID Thrown at Residence, One Arrested

TRIPwire, 22 March 2023 On 18 March 2023, a suspect threw an improvised incendiary device (IID), described as a Molotov cocktail, at a San Antonio residence, starting a fire on the roof and rear wall of the home. No further device details have been released. According to an eyewitness report, the suspect was seen walking around the house before the fire started, then fled the scene after covering his license plate with paper plates. Authorities identified the suspect as a 73-year-old male who had a financial grievance against the owner of the residence. He was arrested and faces arson charges.
