South Carolina: Explosives Used to Target Mailboxes

On 22 May 2023, at approximately 0030 hours local time, Greer Police Department officers responded to a subdivision near Snow Road after explosives were used to target a neighborhood mailbox cluster of four mailboxes. A home security system captured footage of a suspect exiting a vehicle, walking up to the mailboxes, and fleeing the scene as the mailboxes exploded. No further details on the explosives were released. The investigation is ongoing.
