On 25 July 2019 at approximately 1245 hours local time, an IED detonated inside a police station in Huechuraba and damaged three other nearby offices. Reporting indicates at least five policemen were injured, with two sustaining critical injuries. On social media, images circulated of a woman dressed in jeans and a red sweater delivering a package addressed to the police commissioner. After reviewing security footage, the Police Department’s Special Operations Group announced they had identified the woman. Authorities have launched a large-scale police operation and are treating the incident as a terrorist attack.

On 30 August 2019 at approximately 0400 hours local time, local police responded to reports of explosions in the town of Pelt in the province of Limburg, along the border with the Netherlands. Police discovered that unidentified individuals attempted to gain access to cash in two bank ATMs by detonating unknown explosives. The explosion caused significant damages to the bank and ATMs, but the cash remained secure and no one was injured. Authorities are investigating possible links between this incident and a series of similar robbery attempts across the provinces of Antwerp and Limburg.

On 19 May 2019 at approximately 2100 hours local time, a witness discovered an IED in the middle of a road and reported it to the Wyoming Police Department. The device comprised starter fluid and fireworks that appeared to have been ignited but failed to function. St. Paul Bomb Squad technicians rendered the device safe by separating its components. There is no further information at this time.

On 15 December 2019 at approximately 0000 hours local time, police in Gig Harbor discovered an IED in the door panel of a vehicle. Police described the IED as a “firework that was made or turned into a pipe bomb.” The intended target of the explosive device was unclear; however, police stated the vehicle was found in an area that has experienced a series of burglaries in the past two weeks. The Public Works Department is also located near to where the vehicle was found. Police arrested two suspects found at the scene.

On 30 July 2019, the Kingman Police Department (KPD) and KPD Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team responded to a report of a suspicious package at the front of the Mohave County Courthouse. Authorities determined the package, described as pipe-shaped with wires protruding from it, was a hoax device. This follows a similar 29 July incident in which KPD responded to reports of a suspicious package behind the Mohave County Courthouse and found a hoax device, described as a box with protruding wires. EOD personnel removed both hoax devices without incident. Authorities are investigating a possible connection between the two incidents, but no suspect has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.

On 3 June 2019 at approximately 0700 hours local time, an IED detonated roughly 320 yards from the army base at the Thailand–Malaysian border in the Waeng District. Fragmentation from the device injured one civilian. The IED, which was emplaced by the roadside and initiated by a timer, was described as weighing an estimated 11 lb. Bukit Tar Police discovered two more detonated devices but no other injuries were reported. No organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.

On 10 May 2019, York Regional Police (YRP) conducted a raid on a Richmond Hills residence after receiving information from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Canada Border Services Agency and discovered bomb-making materials (BMM), including explosive precursor chemicals and a firing device. Ontario Provincial Police and YRP Explosives Detection Unit officers removed the materials. A 47-year-old male suspect and 18-year-old male suspect, who are allegedly father and son, were arrested on 13 May in connection with the hazardous materials. The investigation is ongoing.

On 7 July 2019 at approximately 0100 hours local time, the Garda Police and Dublin Fire Brigade responded to reports of an improvised incendiary device (IID) attack on a private residence. The attack targeted a convicted rapist in Whitehall. No injuries were reported, but the front of the home sustained major damage. A source told reporters the community wanted to remove the target from the area because of his crimes. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

On 25 July 2019, a magnetically attached IED detonated on a vehicle carrying employees of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, killing 8 people and injuring 27. As security forces arrived at the site of the explosion to assist, a male detonated a person-borne IED (PBIED) as part of a secondary attack, killing 7 people and injuring 20. Approximately 3 km (2 miles) away, a vehicle-borne IED (VBIED) detonated as a convoy of coalition soldiers was passing. The Croatian Defense Minster confirmed that at least 1 of their soldiers died and 2 sustained injuries, with media reports claiming at least 17 people sustained injuries in total. ISIS claimed responsibility for the coordinated IED and secondary PBIED attacks, while the Taliban only claimed responsibility for the VBIED attack.
