The Limburg Police and Ministry of Defense’s explosive disposal department responded to the scene and evacuated 80 homes and a hotel in the area while they searched for additional explosives. No other explosive devices were discovered. Police have not released details about the extent of the damage caused by the explosion.

On 17 June 2019, a suspected IED was discovered by a school security guard and employee in Navi Mumbai. Media reports indicate the suspicious package was a box placed on a cart near the school gate containing a concrete block with four electric wires connected to a 12-volt battery and an analogue timer. Prior to police arriving on scene, the security guard and employee cut the electric wiring attached to the battery in an attempt to render safe the device. After inconclusive test results, the device was removed and rendered safe by the Navi Mumbai Police Department's Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad without incident. Investigators are analyzing residues from the device to determine if it contained an explosive. Authorities have a suspect in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.

On 18 June 2019 at approximately 1200 hours local time, the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Bomb Squad and Pine Bluff Police Department responded to reports of a suspicious device at a private residence in Pine Bluff. The device was discovered by a moving company working at the residence. The ASP Bomb Squad initially described the package as a 20-oz bottle attached to a hand grenade fuze. The Bomb Squad used a water canon to render safe the device, which was then confirmed to be an IED with an inoperable fuze. The bottle contained gunpowder and pyrotechnic powder. According to media reports, the house was being vacated after the owner passed away a week earlier. Authorities searched the rest of the house, but no other devices were discovered.

On 30 June 2019 at approximately 1030 hours local time, a 9-year-old girl sustained injuries leaving her in critical condition after a pyrotechnic device exploded inside her Kensington home. Authorities believe the juvenile found an M80 pyrotechnic device and lit it, causing the device to explode in her hand. Neighbor witnesses heard the explosion and saw the girl run out of the residence missing fingers. The Philadelphia Bomb Squad searched the property, and the incident remains under investigation.

Personnel from the Consolidated Bomb Squad examined the package and determined it was an IED after discovering a device similar to a pipe bomb. The device was rendered safe without incident. According WCSO, an individual in the residence has a history with explosive devices. No arrest has been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

On 19 July 2019 at approximately 1000 hours local time, the Holt Summit Police Department (HSPD) responded to reports of a reckless driver. The vehicle was stopped, and a search found drugs, several associated components that could be used to manufacture IEDs, and an unidentified suspicious package. The initial investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen from Illinois, so HSPD transported it to the station for a more thorough examination. Upon review, the suspicious package was determined to be too dangerous to sample for lab tests, so the Missouri Highway Patrol (MHP) Bomb Squad was dispatched to the scene to conduct render safe procedures. HSPD officers arrested the driver of the vehicle. The HSPD, MHP, ATF, and FBI are investigating the incident.

On 27 September 2019 at approximately 2150 hours local time, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Henry County Public Safety, and Ridgeway Rescue responded to a private residence after reports that a 37-year-old male sustained injuries from a pyrotechnic device. The victim was taken to a hospital. Police later determined the device was an IED—not a pyrotechnic— that unintentionally detonated and was manufactured by the injured man and a 52-year-old neighbor. Police arrested both suspects, who they claim constructed the device for experimentation, not malicious purposes. Both suspects were charged with possession of materials to manufacture an explosive device and possession of an explosive device.

On 29 July 2017, officers from the Provo Police Department (PPD) and Provo Fire Department responded to reports of a backyard fire at a private residence in Provo. Upon arrival, they discovered a brown glass bottle with what appeared to be a sock sticking out of the top. PPD officers arrested a 39-year-old male suspect, who later admitted to making and throwing the Molotov cocktail onto the homeowner’s lawn. A search warrant was issued and officers examined the suspect’s home, and discovered materials that could be used to make an explosive device. Members from the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Provo Bomb Squad removed and rendered safe the explosive materials. An investigation is ongoing.
