On 20 August 2024, at approximately 0230 hours local time, Charlotte Fire Department crews responded to a retirement home on Dr. Carver Road after a 76-year-old male suspect used an unspecified explosive device to set fire to the building, which was extinguished by the sprinkler system. The building sustained approximately $15,000 of damages. No further device details were reported.
On 15 August 2024, at approximately 1343 hours local time, a man was seen on camera walking up to an SUV parked at a U.S. Post Office in the 17300 block of Harper Avenue in Detroit, breaking the window, and placing an explosive device inside the vehicle. The suspect functioned the device and was thrown against an adjacent vehicle by the resulting explosion. The suspect fled the scene and was seen in camera footage as having sustained visible injuries. The explosion ignited a fire that burned four vehicles and damaged six.
On 17 August 2024, at approximately 1000 hours local time, El Dorado Police Department officers discovered an unspecified suspected explosive device while searching a home in the 1100 block of Shelden St. The ATF and Wichita Police Department Bomb Squad technicians responded to assist and removed the device. On 10 August 2024, protestors threw improvised incendiary devices (IIDs), pyrotechnics, and rocks at Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officers in Nailors Row in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, after a parade.
