On 3 June 2019 at approximately 0700 hours local time, an IED detonated roughly 320 yards from the army base at the Thailand–Malaysian border in the Waeng District. Fragmentation from the device injured one civilian.

Ohio: IID Functioned in Arson Incident Targeting Residence

On 3 June 2019 at approximately 0100 hours local time, an arsonist targeted a Campbell residence with an improvised incendiary device (IID) while the family was asleep inside. Fire crews found the porch on fire and discovered a gas can and remnants of the IID, described as a Molotov cocktail, on the scene.

South Carolina: IED Discovered Following Shooting Incident

On 29 May 2019, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office deputies discovered a pipe bomb-style device in a private residence while responding to reports of a shooting incident in Salley. Evidence at the scene indicated the gunshots originated from the residence and targeted a person in an Aiken County vehicle.

United Kingdom: IED Emplaced Under Police Officer’s Vehicle

On 1 June 2019, an off-duty police officer was targeted when a viable IED was emplaced under his vehicle parked at the Shandon Park Golf Club in east Belfast. Officials used a robot to examine the device, which did not detonate or cause any injuries.
