On 17 July 2019 at approximately 1945 hours local time, the Lincoln Police Department and Lincoln Fire and Rescue were responding to an incident when an officer discovered an unidentified explosive device in an alley. Lincoln Fire and Rescue deployed a robot to render safe the explosive device. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

On 16 July 2019 at approximately 1012 hours local time, the California Highway Patrol responded to a report of a cylindrical object with two endcaps and a fuse discovered by a road. Officers determined the device was a functional improvised incendiary device (IID). The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Team responded to the scene and rendered safe the device by detonating it. Officers are unsure where the device came from or who made it, and the incident is under investigation.

On 16 July 2019 between 0300 and 0530 hours local time, an improvised incendiary device (IID) was thrown through the window of a courthouse in Trim. One small courtroom sustained extensive smoke damage, while the remainder of the courthouse was undamaged. Given the time of the attack, no injuries were reported and the courthouse continued operating during normal business hours. Garda Police do not have a suspect or possible motive for the attack, but the investigation is ongoing.

On 15 July 2019, a landmine detonated on a road in the Khakrez district of Kandahar province as a truck of religious pilgrims, en route to a Sufi shrine, drove by and initiated the explosive device. Authorities stated that the explosion killed 11 people and injured at least 35 others, including 22 children who sustained critical injuries. No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but local authorities claim the Taliban is likely responsible as the group is very active in Kandahar province.

On 16 July 2019 at approximately 0645 hours local time, Amsterdam police responded to a report of a grenade emplaced at a business. Police found a grenade hung from the front door, along with a damaged window. Local authorities say the incident may be an extortion attempt, as the country has seen an increase in incidents where criminals use grenades to threaten businesses. The business is temporarily closed while police investigate.
