France: 270 IIDs Found in Building Lobby

On 17 April 2019, French media sources reported that between 5 to 6 April, the Municipal Police of Bastia (MPB) received a tip regarding suspicious behavior that led to the discovery of 270 IIDs in a building lobby. MPB received the tip after residents of the building heard suspicious noises coming from the staircase. While on scene, MPB also discovered petanque balls filled with explosive material and stones. No injuries were reported and the devices were removed. The investigation is ongoing.
