India: One Officer Killed, Five Injured in IED Ambush

On 18 March 2019 at approximately 1630 hours local time, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officers and Chhattisgarh police were ambushed after an IED detonated while on road security duty. One CRPF officer was killed and five others injured when Maoists subsequently opened fire in the Dantewada district. There is no further information on the device. The investigation is ongoing.
