The suspect was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of possessing and igniting an explosive device and arson causing damage to land.
Utah: 28-Year-Old Suspect Arrested Following Tip to Police from Mother

The suspect’s mother contacted the police after she found what appeared to be pipe bombs, materials used to make them, and a container marked gunpowder, at the suspect’s residence. The bomb squad responded to dispose of the two devices and confirmed the pipes contained an explosive powder. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of two counts of second-degree felony recklessness involving an incendiary device.
