Missouri: Pipe Bomb Found in Vehicle

On 3 March 2019, Licking police officers found a pipe bomb in a Kansas man’s vehicle. Police stopped the driver on northbound U.S. 63 and discovered the explosive device while searching the vehicle. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Technical Services Bomb Squad examined the device and rendered it safe. The driver, who already had an active felony warrant, was arrested for possession of an explosive device and armed criminal action.

Pakistan: Three Injured by Radio-Controlled IED

On 4 March 2019, an IED concealed in a motorcycle functioned near a bus terminal in Chaman, injuring three individuals and damaging nearby shops and buses. According to the police bomb disposal unit, the device contained about 5 kg (11 lbs) of explosives and was detonated with a radio-controlled device. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
