Oklahoma: BMM Discovered in Employee’s Work Locker

On 5 December 2022, Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) officers found bomb-making material (BMM) in the work locker of a 52-year-old Minnesota man who was arrested on 2 December at a warehouse in Oklahoma City following a disturbance call. No further details about the BMM have been released. OCPD officers also found drugs in the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect, who initially hid in the warehouse and resisted arrest, will be extradited to Minnesota and faces drug and eluding charges.
Texas: Explosive Device Functioned Below Statue

On 7 November 2022, at approximately 0300 hours local time, the FBI, San Antonio Police Department, and San Antonio Fire Department responded to West Commerce Street in San Antonio following an explosion at the base of a statue. According to media reporting, security footage shows a suspect placing two paint cans underneath the statue and walking away before both cans exploded, damaging the lower half of the head-shaped sculpture and its concrete base. No further device details have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
