Mexico: Explosives Dropped by UAS, 3 Injured

On 7 July 2024, at approximately 2110 hours local time, an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) dropped unspecified explosive devices at a residence in Caborca, Sonora. The explosive devices functioned, injuring three women. The State Attorney General’s Office believes the attack was orchestrated by organized crime because the owner of the residence is a known member of a criminal organization in the region.
