United Kingdom: IED Emplaced in Mailbox Rendered Safe
On 16 April 2024, at approximately 1610 hours local time, Greater Manchester Police; fire crews from Eccles, Agecroft, Leight, and Salford fire stations; and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team responded to a residence in Eccles in Greater Manchester, England, for reports of a suspicious device posted through a mailbox. EOD technicians determined the device was viable after a thorough investigation of the object and performed a controlled detonation of the device. No further information was released.
