On 13 December 2022, Erie County probation officers conducting a routine visit at the Hamburg residence of a 60-year-old male discovered eight IEDs, described as homemade tubular improvised explosives, inside the home. No further device details have been released. The suspect, who is on probation for endangering the welfare of two children, faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon. The incident remains under investigation.

On 29 December 2022, at approximately 0410 hours local time, unidentified suspects used explosives to target an ATM at a bank in via Ilaria Alpi in the Torre del Moro area before fleeing the scene with an unknown amount of money. According to media reporting, the suspects inserted a gas mixture into the ATM before detonating it. The ATM was destroyed and the building sustained extensive damage. No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.

On 27 December 2022, at approximately 0945 hours local time, El Paso County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a trash dumping station in El Paso County after employees found an apparent pipe bomb, described as the size of a shoe box, following a call from an unidentified suspect who told employees that there was a bomb on the property. The Colorado Springs Police Department Regional Explosives Unit responded to assist and rendered the device safe. No further device details were provided. The investigation is ongoing.

On 25 December 2022, a series of 9 attacks in Balochistan province killed 6 Pakistani army personnel and injured 17 civilians. In the Kahan region, an IED functioned near a security forces’ vehicle during a clearance operation. In Quetta, unknown militants threw a grenade in a bazaar near a residential area. In the Sambaza area of Zhob district, a Pakistani soldier was killed in an exchange of fire with a militant who was also killed. No group has claimed responsibility for the various explosive attacks, and the investigations are ongoing.
