On 14 February 2023, at approximately 1500 hours local time, Fairview Park Police Department officers responded to the parking lot of a Fairview Park shopping mall after a construction contractor reported that he discovered bomb-making material (BMM) in a construction container that “combined could create an explosion.” Westshore Enforcement Bureau’s Hazardous Materials Disposal Unit responded to assist and removed the BMM.
