On 28 November 2022, Pembroke Park Police Department officers executed a search warrant at a storage facility in Hallandale Beach and discovered an explosive device and 500,000 rounds of stolen ammunition inside a storage unit. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad responded to assist and confirmed the existence of an explosive device as well as an “unknown secondary device.” No further device details were provided, and both devices were rendered safe.
