On 12 April 2023, at approximately 2200 hours local time, Tamaqua Borough Police Department officers and Tamaqua Fire Department crews responded to an area near Biddle Street and Clark Street after a report of a brush fire and discovered an IED while they were clearing it. No further device details have been released. The FBI and Allentown Bomb Squad technicians responded to assist in rendering the device safe. The investigation is ongoing.

On 13 April 2023, at approximately 0400 hours local time, local police and the Fire Brigade responded after an improvised incendiary device (IID), described as a Molotov cocktail, was thrown at a residence in Borgo Isonzo, damaging the fence. According to authorities, unknown individuals targeted the resident of the house in an act of intimidation. No further device details have been released and no injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

On 11 April 2023, at approximately 0630 hours local time, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) discovered four suspected pipe bombs in the City Cemetery in Creggan as they were conducting a security operation. The devices were rendered safe and removed for further forensic examination. No further device details have been released.

Emporia firefighters were dispatched and noted light smoke in the second floor apartment.
