Chile: 20 IIDs Thrown at Police Personnel and Army Compound

On 7 November 2022, at approximately 1010 hours local time, Carabiniers responded after approximately 40 unidentified suspects came out of a boarding school in Quinta Normal, Santiago, interrupted traffic, and began throwing at least 20 improvised incendiary devices (IIDs), described as Molotov cocktails, at an adjacent Army compound and at Carabinier personnel. No injuries or damage was reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Nebraska: Explosives Discovered Inside Home, 1 Arrested

On 2 November 2022, Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) troopers and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in Lincoln and discovered two M-type explosives a shotgun, several boxes of ammunition, and narcotics. NSP Bomb Squad technicians responded to assist and safely removed the explosives. A 51-year-old male suspect was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substances, possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and unlawful possession of an explosive.

Italy: Explosives Used in ATM Attack

On 7 November 2022, at approximately 0000 hours local time, the Carabinieri responded to a supermarket in Casalecchio di Reno in Bologna after four suspects used explosives to target an ATM and fled the scene with an estimated 100,000 euros [~$100,213]. No further details about the explosives have been released. The incident remains under investigation.
