Washington: Explosive Devices Used to Attack Residence

On 27 March 2023, media reporting stated that a residence in Auburn has been the target of several explosive-device attacks due to LGBTQ+ pride flags displayed on their fence. The explosives were tossed into the yard, damaging the fence and the yard but no injuries were reported. No further device details have been released. The family also reported that hate speech has been painted on their fence. The investigation is ongoing.

Idaho: Explosive Device Discovered in Park Restroom

On 26 December 2022, at approximately 1345 hours local time, Bingham County Sheriff's Office deputies, Booneville County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and Idaho Falls Police Department (IFPD) officers responded to Moreland Park in Blackfoot when a reported explosive device was discovered in the park’s restroom. No further device details have been released. IFPD Regional Bomb Squad responded to assist and utilized a counter charge to render the device safe. The incident remains under investigation.
